THE USEFUL DETAILS

Keep the conversation in the room.

Start from what everyone said

The assistant can use the shared thread as context, including the preferences and corrections people have added.

Bring AI in when it helps

Talk to each other naturally. Mention @Portal for an answer, a comparison or help with the next step.

Come back to the same answer

Everyone can read the result and follow up in the thread, without passing screenshots between separate chats.

A FEW POSSIBILITIES

Less relaying. More figuring it out together.

Plan the trip

Put everyone’s dates, budget and ideas in one place before asking for a plan.

Work through a question

Study with classmates and keep the explanation where everyone can return to it.

Sort out everyday decisions

Compare options for a shared purchase, a meal plan or an event with everyone involved.

FROM IDEA TO EVERYDAY

A simple place to start.

  1. Start a group chat

Name the conversation for the thing you’re planning or working on.

  2. Add your people

Bring others into the thread so everyone has the same place to contribute.

  3. Ask Portal when you need it

Write @Portal with your request. Its answer appears in the conversation for everyone.

GOOD TO KNOW

Before you get going.

Plans & top-ups
Does every message use credits?

Messages between people are free. Requests to @Portal use credits for the model and any tools involved.

Is this the same as a circle?

They do different jobs. A group chat shares a conversation; a circle shares a credit balance. A circle doesn’t automatically expose anyone’s personal chats.

Bring the next idea into the room.
